Admissions procedures & Requirements

Thank you for considering CANOSSA as the next step in your child’s education.
We receive students from all primary and secondary schools; private and government schools, and from Swahili and English medium schools. Pupils from various regions are admitted to the school, through application forms which are sold only in the school Dar es Salaam. Only those who have finished standard seven can be admitted to join form One, and form Five for those who have finished form Four. Application form are normally sold at the school (Canossa High school). Students coming for the exam are supposed to come with their previous school uniform and the identification slip attached on the application form, without it the pupil will not sit for the exam.

Students receive an offer after successfully completing the school’s admission process.

Payments

After completing the Application form,the form should be sent to the address provided.To finalize the inquiry process, the admission fee is required along with the documents. The payment is done through our school bank account ONLY here is the FEES STRUCTURE details provided.

  • Copy of Birth Certificate
  • Passport Photo
  • Leaving / Transfer certificate

ASSESSMENT

The parent/guardian will be contacted for the placement assessment, In conjunction with previous school reports, the placement assessment tools are designed to determine a student’s readiness for the CANOSSA programs including any English language and/or special needs support for which no additional fees are charged.

Notification

After a student is assessed, the complete file is forwarded to the appropriate Admissions Committee for review before a final admissions decision is made. The process is completed as quickly as possible, however the time between assessment and notification of the admissions decision varies depending on the individual student’s results.

FINAL

Once an admissions decision is made, possible outcomes include the student being:

  • Accepted
  • Provisionally accepted (based on reports alone)
  • Conditionally accepted (with academic or social concerns to be monitored)
  • Waitlisted (due to no space)
  • Denied Admission (for academic or social concerns beyond the scope of the program)
