St. Magdalene of Canossa (the founder of Canossian Sisters) realize that, without a sound system of education, youth lacked the possibility of discovering their dignity as persons. She emphasized on education which took care of the total development of the person, with special emphasis on spiritual and moral values. Her special attention was toward the underprivileged of both rural areas and cities and the promotion of girls.
